Antique Apache | 1959 Chevrolet Apache Fleetside

We spend a lot of time with the guys from Antique Tyres in Melbourne. Ben and the crew offer a premium service and there’s always a happy ‘Antique’ face at an event or show. So when I saw Tony’s Apache during a recent visit I was intrigued to ask him a few questions about it.

INSPIRATIONAL | Inspired 1962 Triumph TR120

In Tank Moto issue 09 you’ll find a story about the ‘99 Choppers’ Honda CBX750. I chose it as my pick of the show at Kustomfest 2015. My selection for a winner came down to two incredible bikes and the other contender for the prize was this bike, the Inspired Garage Triumph TR120.

Thompson Tribute | Anthony Darwin's 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

Needless to say, I fell in love with this thing and immediately posted it on the Fuel Instagram site. Within a few days, what looked like the same exact car was posted on Instagram by a friend of mine in Australia. So, there is a number ‘3’ Mickey Thompson tribute car running around the Melbourne area and it is owned by Anthony Darwin. Earlier this year, FM caught up with Anthony to find out a bit more history regarding his silver MT tribute Corvette.

The last day of the 2017 Japan trip! I was to fly out that night but I had one last visit to make. Randomly browsing through social media, I discovered the page of Hajime Kamata of One Street Motorcycles. There were a couple of things about Kamata-san’s feed that peaked my interest; His rusty-look VW ‘Volksrod’ and some cute BMW-style motorised bikes that he was putting together.

Paper Jam | Tank Moto Issue 13

Tank Moto issue thirteen is (finally) in the building. Our cover bike for this issue is 'The Mongrel' by Return of the Cafe Racers. A collaboration between RotCR, Triumph Australia and KDS Designs, The Mongrel is a 2018 model Triumph T120 with a lot of love put in to it to make it what you can see here.

Project Porsche 914 | The Concept

I'm excited to show the first official Fuel Magazine Porsche 914 project car theme rendering. I did a few scrappy pen sketches in-house myself and then handed the concept over to pro-designer Pete Elliott who produced this stunning work of art. He certainly pulled off what I'm going for with the project.
