Custom Craft | Ryan Whitling | Hand-Forming an Aluminium Fender Part Two [Video]
Continued from part one.
As part of our Custom Craft series, Ryan Whitling of RAW Fabrication & Design shows us how he hand-fabricates part of a front fender from start to finish.
With the fender section now cut from flat aluminium sheet, in part two Ryan shapes the piece using blocking techniques on the stump. He offers it up to the wooden buck on the car and finishes it off on the English Wheel.
One fender will be made up of four separate pieces of aluminium.
Part three will show the next phase of Ryan's process.
The car that Ryan is working on is a 1936 Wanderer W25, one of only fourteen accounted for in the world.
