Quick Look | Dapper Garage Honda Cub Custom

Words Luke Ray Photography Calvin Hadi

We don’t have a huge amount of info on this cool little project, but after seeing it in passing on Instagram, I had to take a closer look…

This bike is based on a 1970 Honda Cub but with a 125cc engine upgrade from a 2007 Supra. I know the owner of the bike, Calvin Hadi, as we’ve met a few times over the years on my numerous excursions to Indonesia. Calvin runs the Riders & Rules brand over there in Bandung and he makes some neat products, such as the Aztec Moto Goggles that we currently have in stock. Here are a few words from Calvin to sum up the basics of this cute custom:

“This is actually one of my dream bikes. I love it because it’s cool and cute at the same time. I needed a little more power over the regular Cub, so the 125cc suits me perfectly. The bike was built by Dapper Garage. Those guys are my friends and they do great work. They make these bikes in a similar look for many customers, but this one is to my specifications. I chose some of the details, the colour and a few unique parts. Dapper changed the frame to a rigid frame, made up a fully custom stainless exhaust and fitted 18-inch wheels.”
